George Hotel achieves the David Urquhart Travel 2009 'Good Hospitality' award

David Urquhart Travel uses over 300 hotels in the UK and monitors the Customer response to these through the Customer Satisfaction Questionnaires. From these the George Hotel in Huddersfield has been awarded the "Premier Collection" and "Good Hospitality" award.

Judi Dench in A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Rose Theatre, Kingston.

The Rose Theatre, Kingston is delighted to announce its seventh home-grown production: William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by Peter Hall with a cast that includes Judi Dench in the role of Titania.

18th November 2009 Visit Britain Award - Best Breakfast

Best breakfast award won for the New Bath Hotel and Chimney House Hotel.

Brook Hotels were proud to hear today, that the New Bath Hotel in Matlock Bath and The Chimney House Hotel in Sandbach, Cheshire, were the proud winners of the Visit Britain Award for Best Breakfast.
Key Accounts Manager for Quality in Tourism said, "I thought that you may like to hear that Visit England have introduced a new breakfast award - and that you have received 2 of them - one for The Chimney House and one for the New Bath. This is a great achievement and one to be proud of."

The new award recognises those hotels that offer their guests a quality and choice of breakfast, service and hospitality that exceeds what would be expected at their star rating. It will help visitors find those places where the owners, managers, chefs and staff have gone the extra mile to ensure the breakfast will exceed expectations.

"This is excellent news for both Hotels and all the Head Office Management team at Brook Hotels are thrilled with the news. Both General Managers, Marc Coubrough of the New Bath Hotel and Lee Darwen of the Chimney House, have done an excellent job in raising the standards of their breakfast product." said Amit Ummat, Chairman of Brook Hotels. The standards are deliberately set thresholds higher for establishments at the higher star ratings, to reflect guests' expectations.

Waterloo Hotel is awarded 4 star status.

4 Star Hotel in Bracknell
The Waterloo Hotel, Crowthorne, Bracknell was awarded a 4 Star rating by the Visit Britain Tourist Board on 1st October 2009.

The 4 Star accreditation is given to hotels and accommodation providers who have consistently offered guests exemplary service and a high standard of bedrooms and facilities.
