'Perfect wedding day' "Thank you to all the staff at the hotel for making our wedding day perfect. Everything on the day went to plan and the hospitality offered to our guests was superb. In addition, the hotel looked stunning when dressed with our flowers and shows up really well in our photos. We will have many happy memories of spending our wedding day at the Chimney House Hotel." 'A great overnight hop off the M6' "Since the closure of the Old Hall in Sandbach, there is not much choice of hotels left in the area. The refurbishment of this hotel makes it a very pleasant place to stay, our room was smart, clean and comfortable. The bar and restaurant area are fine, the food is very expensive and not particularly imaginative, but we enjoyed it. Make sure you take a trip into Sandbach, it's a great little market town. I understand that there is one point where you can stand and see 8 pubs!" 16 Jan 2009
"The renovation is much better, very modern and smells lovely to other musty hotels. Very clean and tidy. Great just off the M6 junction 17. Great location to Congleton, Sandbach and Manchester. Breakfast could be better. The staff were all young, the waitresses were lovely. There was one young man who was not very polite or professional, should definately not be in a customer service background and quite rude. No mature management type seen in the whole hotel. No staff uniform?? Would stay again as cleaner than most." 12 Nov 2008
'Friendly hotel' "I frequently stay at The Chimney House on business, it is a very friendly hotel the staff are extremely friendly. The rooms have recently been refurbished and are generally spacious and comfortable. The water pressure is a bit low in the showers. The food is expensive for what you get, however there is a great pub round the corner called The Legs of Man which is my preferred eating place." 13 Oct 2008
'Fantastic break away!' "We decided to treat ourselves to a weekend break away for my wife's birthday at the chimney house and had heard very good reviews about the hotel from our friends in the area. The hotel looks impressive on the outside especially the old rectory quarter. All the lawns are very well kept and the gardens are very tidy. We were equally impressed when we checked in. The main reception and lounge looks very modern and new. I think a lot of money has been spent recently to make it look as good as it does. They seem to have the balance of old and new quite well suited. We stayed in room 15 one of the hotel's executive bedrooms. The bedroom was very large and looked brand new. We loved the kingsize bed and the quirky balcony area which overlooked the grounds outside. Everywhere was very clean and the bathroom was very big. On the Saturday evening we had a lovely meal in the restaurant and ended with a game of pitch and putt outside. The staff seemed to be very friendly and polite and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the Chimney House Hotel to anyone else." 27 Jan 2008
