"Matlock Bath is ideally placed for visiting the beautiful countryside of the Peak
District and the New Bath Hotel has a commanding position in the town, affording
it fantastic views. It has an excellent reputation for the quality of its breakfasts,
which is a perfect way to set you up for a day of exploring. The staff were very
helpful and the rooms remiscent of times gone by, comfortable and characterful,
not the modern, soulless boxes that are found in some other hotels. We enjoyed a
lovely relaxing weekend here and would definitely return to the area and to this

'Fantastic Hotel, Great Food and Service'
"I recently stayed at the New Bath Hotel with my partner and four your old child,
we chose the New Bath due to its excellent location to Gullivers Kingdom (Only a
five minute walk), we booked on Dinner, Bed and Breakfast for two night. Dinner
and Breakfast was excellent, very good service in the restaurant and the waitress
was extremely helpful. Our bedroom was of a very high standard with great views
of the surrounding countryside. I would defiantly stay at the hotel again." 26 April

'Great Family Break'
"We took the children to Gulliver's Kingdom and decided to stay for the night. The
family room was clean, spacious and comfortable with double bed and 2 extra beds.
The hotel offered early dining which was great as the children were hungry. The
staff were very friendly and nothing seemed to much trouble. The food was very good
and there was a childrens menu. Breakfast was also very good. We will be back as
there is so much to do in the area!" 7 April 2009
'Lovely faded hotel full of character '
"For the price, this is a lovely hotel, where the slight fading adds to the character.
For the price you can't go wrong. In a cold snap it was fabulously warm and our
room (in the old part) was spacious and comfortable. I can't see any reason to complain

"The lunch this year went extremely well. It was a delight to deal with Gaby and
Rebecca in the events team where all our requirements were met and I was able to
enjoy our event as all arrangements went smoothly.
The actual food was delicious – the best we have had with yourselves and several
relatives have since contacted me to pass on their compliments. We were also well
looked after during the day by Tina who ensured again that we had everything we
needed.
We have booked again for next December and look forward to our next visit. Please
pass on my comments to all staff concerned who should be congratulated – we all
had an excellent time."
