What a transformation!!. We have been using this hotel for the last seven years to celebrate New Year. This year was exceptional. Beautifully decorated table with great food and service. Staff were only concerned that guests were having a super time. Thoroughly recommend you try this hotel even if you have been there before and thought it was not the best. New owners and management have turned this place around.

'We were unfortunate enough to get 'stuck' on the M80 during the recent snow storms. We left Oban at 7:15am on the 6th, got to Stirling area at 10 ish where we had a drink. Then we got onto the motorway and hey ho - stuck for the next 13 hours - no food - limited drinks and cold. we eventually got off and were taken to the hotel by Shearings. The staff were fantastic. No fuss and a warm welcome - given our keys as we walked in. They laid on hot soup, sandwiches, sweet, tea/coffee/water. The room was lovely and had a good nights sleep and good breakfast. Cannot fault the place. It truely was a haven in the storm. Would love to go back in better weather.

"Stayed at this hotel 2 nights with husband, executive room with en-suite bathroom, room was large with ample facilities for us to enjoy our stay, front facing with excellent views, took a tour of the hotel and were impressed with overall quality throughout, had dinner on first night and was not disappointed with food, service and quality and value for money. Breakfast next morning was excellent with a great variety and stunning views of the bridge location was super if visiting further parts of Scotland, took away brochure for daughter who is looking for place to have wedding, conservatory is stunning and ideal. We have stayed at 4 & 5 star hotels and this hotel was in comparison to them, superb value for money and would certainly recommend."

"I have stayed at this hotel on a few occasions. It is a nice hotel as a business traveller. There is a bar, restaurant and the hotel has views over the Firth of Forth. A short walk from the back of the restaurant takes you to a viewpoint where you can see both rail and road bridges. Breakfasts can be a selection of cold or hot foods. I would recommend the 'full Scottish'. Staff are incredibly helpful and friendly."

"We were welcomed by a very friendly and bright receptionist, who dealt with us very efficiently, which was a relief after driving for 5 hours. The room we were given was, clean, bright and nicely furnished with a huge bed. The view from the room was fantastic the Firth and the bridges, what a sight to wake up too. We will be back next year for a wedding and we have told the Bride and Groom to give The Queensferry as a place for the guests to stay."
