Afternoon tea taken in the Tewkesbury Park Hotel is a ritual that should not merely be reserved for people passing through Tewkesbury.

The traditional afternoon tea is an experience in itself making for a great afternoon spent with friends or family.

You will be served a variety of dainty sandwiches with delicious fillings. For those with a sweet tooth the array of sweet pastries, cheesecake and slices of cake are sure to be a delight! And finally, if not most importantly, the choice of tea that range from Earl Grey and English Breakfast to more unusual varieties from China and India, plus caffeine-free versions.

Brook Tewkesbury Park Hotel is situated on the site of the 1471 Battle of Tewkesbury, on the 14th & 15th July 2012 thousands of re-enactors will travel from all around the world to help re-create the Battle.

Tewkesbury medieval festival includes a huge re-enactment of the battle, featuring around 2000 warriors, including knights in full armour, gunners, with cannon and hand guns, archers, with the traditional English Longbow, and men at arms with swords, spears and other weapons of the period, all brought to life with a lively and informed commentary, and takes place on the site of the original battle of 1471.

When not fighting many of them will be living for the weekend as soldiers on the march, sleeping in authentic medieval tents, eating food of the period, cooked over open fires in copies of medieval pots and pans, and preparing for the battle as they would have done in 1471. Many of the traders on the market are just as authentic, dressed 15th century traders; they use well researched skills to do everything from making swords and armour, to preparing ginger bread and hand stitching beautiful gowns and colourful tunics.

We are offering two nights dinner, bed and breakfast arriving on Friday 13th July, including a two course set lunch with sparkling wine on the Saturday for just £119 per person per stay based on two people sharing a twin or double room, single rooms will be at £159 per stay

We are a few minute’s walk along our private drive from the festival and your entrance is free.

Please note lunch on the Saturday will be on long tables and you will be joining fellow dinners.

As the name suggests horses and riders complete the competition over 3 days, each day consisting of a different discipline or phase. Horses and riders must complete a dressage test demonstrating Obedience, Discipline, Accuracy and Elegance.
