"The evening was a great success - thank you. Please can you thank all the staff
that worked that the evening, the very helpful receptionist and especially the two
young men that helped Lesley to the car with all her gifts, flowers and the cake.
We had lots of compliments about the room and the meal so I thought I would pass
them on."

'Tired Splendour'
"We were given a deluxe double room it was very spacious and on the whole clean,
friends were given a standard double which was quite small. Good points - splendid
dining room, delicious breakfast, cooked to order when running out on buffet, clean
and comfortable bed and room, linen and towels crisp and clean - very pleasant and
helpful staff. Lovely old building, despite decor being rather tired now.
Bad points - bathroom bin had not been emptied before our arrival, bed was not made
properly, had to make it ourselves before we could get in, missing bedside light
bulb, far far too hot and couldn't open windows in bedroom, although we could in
the bathroom, when this was mentioned it was met with the comment that most other
guests had complained how cold it was! Would probably use again."

"First trip to Huddersfield and needed a city centre Hotel. The George was perfect.
Really nice greeting and welcome by the reception team. The room was clean and comfortable.
I had dinner in the restaurant. Only had a main course but this was excellent. Will

"I have received some feedback for the PwC event you had in-house last week. It's
always nice to get positive feedback!
They were really impressed with the hotel, and there were a couple of pretty late
arrivals and the kitchen had stayed open to accommodate them - which was much appreciated.
The only negative was that there wasn't air con in the bedrooms - and as it was
so hot last week I think a couple of people didn't get as good a nights sleep as
they would have perhaps liked.

'Doesn't get any more central' "Great location and although I walked the long way
round from the station the town square works seem to be nearly over. Very friendly
staff. Recommended the chef's curry special and was very authentic - no surprise
as he turned out to be Indian. Restaurant is very dramatic 'days of the Raj'. Room
fine clean and quiet. Sneaked in to the Rugby league Hall of fame - very interesting
little bonus."

out to help us find a parking space and left us his brolley so we didn't get wet,
