'Excellent Hotel'
"I stayed at the hotel few times but my recent stay in June was excellent, could
see lots of improvement in the hotel, attitude of the staff, cleanliness. Room were
very clean and fresh. The dining area was clean, customer service was great. The
location is fine and the hotel had the basic amenities required. Overall loved my
stay in June 09." 11 June 2009
'Very acceptable'
"I am a disabled guy and I found the hotel to be of a good standard. I managed to
get a superb rate, 25 pounds a night, breakfast included with Superbreak. I spent
4 nights there, 105 pounds. It may be slightly below the Queens Hotel in most things
but incredible value. The rooms were fairly good but no disabled shower just one
in the bath. Could have been cleaner but it was ok. Breakfast was chaotic the fist
day but good afterwards the staff were good. The food well cooked. I ate one evening
meal, it was very good but lacked atmosphere as only a few guests were there. The
location is so so but hey ho. I enjoyed it but can understand some of the negative
comments cos the public can be very hard to please (I owned a small hotel). Give
it a try and make your own opinion." 19 May 2009
'A pleasent stay'
"Must admit the changes in the hotel from my last visit are phenominal, the new
Manager was available all the time and nothing was a problem The rooms very comfortable
and clean. Exceptionally good reception staff. The hotel looks clean and bar area

'Xmas Cheer'
"This hotel is well worth a visit. It is very handy for the uni and shops. The staff
are so friendly and nothing was to much trouble. They had a large Xmas party in
and the public areas were very busy however I still recieved first class service.
The evening food was good and the breakfast was super. The bedrooms are spotless
which is a credit as they are a little tired. No on-site parking but its right next
door. I would stay again when in Leeds." 14 December 2008

"The Reception staff were friendly and helpful, providing maps of Leeds when asked
and calling taxis etc. I had phoned the day before arriving and the Receptionist
when I arrived remembered my name and query!".
"Location, easy access in & out, friendly staff, self-controlled temperature

"The hotel facilities were of a standard normally associated with "higher rates".
The staff were extremely courteous and friendly. Breakfast in the restaurant was
an absolute delight - the food was first class, and the staff were far more attentive
than in many other hotels I have visited".
"Provided city centre location we required for easy access to early morning appointment.
Comparatively quiet bearing in mind that it near-by busy roads".
