Normanton Church

One of Rutland's most famous and photographed landmarks, Normanton Church was designed by Thomas Cundy and built in 1826-29. In the 1970's when the plans for Rutland Water were being finalised, the church was saved from the water by raising the floor of the church above the waterline, and the walls were waterproofed.
